stress…

I can’t believe I actually lost weight this week. Must be all the walking in the Hospital. Mom fell and broke her right hip on Monday as well as her right arm….she’s 70, usually very independent…now we are working to get her better.  So while dealing w/ that, I was planning my youngest daughter’s 3rd b-day party on Saturday.  It’s been hard to take care of me this week.  I did drink my water, and eating wasn’t really an issue.  It’s funny how stress really kicks your body sometimes.  Just wanted to vent a little bit. I hope everyone is having a great weekend and has a great start to the week!!!

Daughters….

One of my biggest reasons for trying to become a healthier person is for my children, Gracie, 6, Ruby, 2 1/2, and Charlie, 20 mos.  My daughters especially because of what women seem to have to deal with when it comes to body image.  I never say “oh I’m so fat,” or “jeez I hate my body”….I always try to keep it positive.  Although, when my 6 yr old was in the shower w/ me getting cleaned up and she puts both hands on my tummy and goes “JIGGLE BELLY!”, it’s a little hard not to laugh and want to cry all at the same time….

So I tell her “you know, mommy grew 3 babies in this tummy.  It’s not easy to make it get smaller.  But mommy is exercising and eating really good, so mommy will feel better and be healthier.”  She really seems to understand that.  I want so much for my children to understand eating healthy, and having sweets in moderation and being active, which my husband and I work into each day as much as we can.

Baby steps!!!  Best of luck to all this week and stay positive!!!

Ready for a new week

After a 2lb loss last week, starting this new week I have a little more motivation.  I know every little bit helps….Choosing better things to eat, trying to move a little more even when I just want to sit.  Every small change can lead to a big difference in the long run.  Gotta stay positive!!! Hope everyone has a fantastic week! Good Luck ;)

Friday!!

Well, it’s Friday, and I really feel good!!!  Walked a local mall w/ a great friend this morning due to the rain, and it was awesome!  Weighed in for my Fitness Fanatics Yellow Team, and I’m down 2 lbs this week, and that’s even w/ TOM visiting!!!! I’m so excited I just had to share.  We all have our ups and downs, but I really love the Ups. :)

well…..

Well…..I’m not very happy today.   TOM is visiting and making eating right and wanting to exercise a little frustrating.  I’m able to fight off most cravings lately, but my mood is horrible.  I’m very snippy, arrrgghh!! :)

Hopefully walking tonight and tomorrow with my good girlfriend will help the mood and keep me motivated.  Best of luck to all!!! Trish

keep moving…

Well, Like I said, “Little changes will make a big difference.” Now that I’ve been moving more, I feel it.  The scale is moving slowly, but I’m feeling better.  More energy with the kids, my mood is better, more positive.  Little setbacks don’t get me discouraged. I just remember…Keep moving!

small changes…

I’m doing better this time around, I think because I’m making small changes every day, so as to not overwhelm myself.  Today I’ve started wearing my pedometer again.  It’s a great motivator.  It’s a visual reminder to keep moving! :)

One week down….

My first week back on track went pretty well.  I have a great friend who is going to be my walking buddy on Wednesdays now.  If it’s nice, well put my two little ones in strollers and walk outside.  If it’s not nice, we’ll go to a mall nearby with covered parking so we are out of the elements.

It helps to have someone who expects you to be there so you are less likely to flake out on excercising.  “Baby Steps” ;)

Baby steps…

Well, I’ve finally found some motivation to do what I need to do to get back on track to get healthy.  My friends and family, as always, are very supportive. (They’ve seen me start and stop a million times!)  I just keep saying to myself “Baby steps…it took awhile to get this way…it won’t go away tomorrow…just keep trying and you’ll get there!”

back on the wagon…

Well, here I am again…back on the wagon….After 3 kids, 6, 2, and 18 months, my body is in horrible shape.  I’ve been in denial about it.  I quit WW again for the 3rd time.  I’m going to try to do this on my own, at home and excercising outdoors walking, playing with the kids.  I need to set a healthier example for my children.
