Daughters….

One of my biggest reasons for trying to become a healthier person is for my children, Gracie, 6, Ruby, 2 1/2, and Charlie, 20 mos.  My daughters especially because of what women seem to have to deal with when it comes to body image.  I never say “oh I’m so fat,” or “jeez I hate my body”….I always try to keep it positive.  Although, when my 6 yr old was in the shower w/ me getting cleaned up and she puts both hands on my tummy and goes “JIGGLE BELLY!”, it’s a little hard not to laugh and want to cry all at the same time….

So I tell her “you know, mommy grew 3 babies in this tummy.  It’s not easy to make it get smaller.  But mommy is exercising and eating really good, so mommy will feel better and be healthier.”  She really seems to understand that.  I want so much for my children to understand eating healthy, and having sweets in moderation and being active, which my husband and I work into each day as much as we can.

Baby steps!!!  Best of luck to all this week and stay positive!!!

Ready for a new week

After a 2lb loss last week, starting this new week I have a little more motivation.  I know every little bit helps….Choosing better things to eat, trying to move a little more even when I just want to sit.  Every small change can lead to a big difference in the long run.  Gotta stay positive!!! Hope everyone has a fantastic week! Good Luck ;)

Friday!!

Well, it’s Friday, and I really feel good!!!  Walked a local mall w/ a great friend this morning due to the rain, and it was awesome!  Weighed in for my Fitness Fanatics Yellow Team, and I’m down 2 lbs this week, and that’s even w/ TOM visiting!!!! I’m so excited I just had to share.  We all have our ups and downs, but I really love the Ups. :)

well…..

Well…..I’m not very happy today.   TOM is visiting and making eating right and wanting to exercise a little frustrating.  I’m able to fight off most cravings lately, but my mood is horrible.  I’m very snippy, arrrgghh!! :)

Hopefully walking tonight and tomorrow with my good girlfriend will help the mood and keep me motivated.  Best of luck to all!!! Trish

keep moving…

Well, Like I said, “Little changes will make a big difference.” Now that I’ve been moving more, I feel it.  The scale is moving slowly, but I’m feeling better.  More energy with the kids, my mood is better, more positive.  Little setbacks don’t get me discouraged. I just remember…Keep moving!
